When Emma Carver lost her grandmother, she was heartbroken. She had fond memories of her, and as a kid, her house in the country had always had a magical feel about it. So, for Emma, getting the house made her feel as though they were still connected.
Soon she finds a friendly stray dog that looks like he hasn’t eaten in quite a while and probably never had enough to eat, and after some playtime a meal, and a bath, Emma decides she wants this dog. She thinks that this is just the thing to make grandma’s house a home again.
And just when she thought she had it all under control, life throws her a curve ball.
The poor dog turns out to be an escapee from a puppy mill operation nearby…and old Barb Green is no joke when she wants her dog back.
